  • 21 Sep 2019
  • Dun Laoighaire

How can manual therapists assist with this national health priority?

This one-day workshop is tailored exclusively to the needs of private practitioners of massage and manual therapies who want to review their awareness and clinical reasoning around the area of mental health. Led by experienced allied health clinical educators the activities are designed to give you an opportunity to share your clinical experiences with others and explore this increasingly vital issue. Prompted by presentations and group work you will share your understanding how manual therapists might identify and refer-on persons at risk. Throughout the workshop you will critically evaluate gaps in your own clinical knowledge and identify what resources you need to enhance your clinical approach. A list of pertinent resources will be shared with you so that you may more easily find further information that may assist you to be more aware of these issues of importance. Topics discussed:

A snap-shot of relevant research in the manual therapies related to mental health issues.
