Overview

The IMTA is a non-profit governing body, setting standards in the massage industry in Ireland. As such, we have a membership of massage and bodywork therapists. In order to decide who qualifies to be a member, we require a certain amount of data from members, applicants and colleges. We keep this data for informational purposes only and do not share it.

Collection, use and disclosure of personal information

The IMTA collects personal and business contact details about all members and applicants. The IMTA also collects educational data from members and applicants as well as educational documents from colleges. The IMTA uses contact details only to provide information relevant to membership or any enquire made of the IMTA.  Contact in relation to membership includes the communications in relation to application, renewals, admin etc. as  well as updates and news about the industry.

Therapists Directory

Full members of the IMTA are eligible to be listed on our therapists directory. You can choose to opt out of this listing at any stage, and consent is sought at the time of application. Irish Life do cross reference this directory with claims made to them in relation to rebates on health insurance.
